Getting started

What is K256?

K256 is a self-custodial crypto app for iPhone, built on Solana. Discover tokens, follow people and explore their public activity. Your account keys stay with you, and you approve supported money actions.

How do I get the app?

Open the invitation on an iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Apple will guide you through installing TestFlight and joining the K256 beta, subject to available places. K256 is for adults aged 18 or older who meet the eligibility requirements for the features they use.

Is K256 on Android or the App Store?

The current release is an iPhone beta through TestFlight. There is no public App Store or Android release yet. This website introduces the app; it does not provide a browser trading account.

Do I need to give you an email or phone number?

Not for the app’s core features. You can choose to add contact details. A funding partner may require them: the Coinbase Apple Pay flow requires a phone number and a receipt email. If you use social features or contact support, we also process the content you share. Our Privacy Policy explains those details.

What does self-custodial mean?

Your account’s signing key is derived and protected on your device. K256 does not receive your recovery phrase or your Face ID biometric data. You approve supported actions. Protect your passkey, device and recovery material; K256 cannot reset an account key or reverse a confirmed blockchain transfer.

I can’t access my account. What should I do?

Keep your existing passkey and recovery material. Avoid deleting them or resetting the app while you seek help. Contact support with the error and app version. Never send your recovery phrase or private key. A synced passkey alone may not restore every private balance; keep the recovery material the app provides.

Money and markets

Can I add money with Apple Pay?

K256 integrates Coinbase Apple Pay for eligible U.S. users. In the current beta, this checkout is a sandbox demonstration: it does not charge your card or fund your account. Production funding will be identified in the app when available. Coinbase’s eligibility rules, phone and email requirements, fees and terms apply to its service.

Is funding available outside the U.S.?

Not currently. Funding methods and supported countries depend on partner availability. The app will show the methods available to you. We do not promise a release date for additional countries.

Can I cash out to my bank?

K256 does not currently offer bank cash-outs. Sending a supported asset to another compatible account is a different action. Check the receiving service’s exact asset, network, eligibility and deposit requirements before sending; a confirmed transfer may be irreversible.

Does the beta use real money?

Supported blockchain actions use real assets on Solana mainnet. The separately labeled Coinbase funding sandbox is a demonstration. Review the action carefully: a beta label does not make a transfer or a trade simulated.

What fees apply?

Fees depend on the action and any provider involved. Review the amount, fees and limits in the confirmation before approving. A statement that an action has no K256 fee does not mean partner, network or market costs are also zero.

Are the website’s prices quotes I can trade at?

No. They are informational market snapshots and may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. An actual action can have a different price and fees. Trending rankings are discovery information, not a recommendation or a promise of returns.

Are stock and ETF tokens the underlying investments?

They are separate tokens subject to their issuer’s terms. They do not necessarily give direct ownership, voting or redemption rights in the underlying asset. Some are restricted for U.S. persons and other jurisdictions. A listing does not establish your eligibility. Read the issuer’s terms and our risk disclosures.

Is my money insured?

K256 does not provide bank deposits, FDIC deposit insurance or SIPC protection. Digital assets can lose all their value. Self-custody gives you control of your keys; it does not remove market, software, issuer or security risk.

Privacy and people

What can other people see?

Public profile information, posts and public account activity can be visible to others. Private amounts are read on your device, but that does not hide public blockchain records. Messages and shared expense pictures are intended for their participants; do not assume messages are end-to-end encrypted. Review your sharing and notification preferences in the app.

How do I remove my information?

In K256, open Settings, then “Remove your name and handle.” This removes the personal content described in our Privacy Policy. Some account, security, shared-service and order references remain. Removal does not move assets, erase public records or delete a passkey from its provider. Contact support for another access, correction or deletion request.

Who reads a receipt when I scan it?

If you choose receipt reading, Google’s Gemini service reads the pictures, with Anthropic’s Claude service available when needed. You can type the details instead. The Privacy Policy explains what is sent, partner retention and the picture stored with an expense. Always check the result before using it.

How do I report a person, post or scam?

Use Report or Block where available in the app, or contact support with the profile or public post involved. Do not include someone else’s private information unnecessarily. Never send a recovery phrase, private key or an unclaimed payment link: someone with a valid claim link may be able to receive its funds.

Talk to us

Use support inside K256, or email support@k256.xyz. Include your app version, a short description and the error you see. For an order or payment issue, include its reference if available. Redact sensitive information from screenshots. Never send a recovery phrase, private key, full card number or passkey material.

A pending action is not a confirmed result. Check its status before trying again. For a partner checkout issue, the partner may also need to help; K256 cannot guarantee a refund or reverse a confirmed transfer.

Read our Privacy Policy and Terms for the full details.
